16 years on linkedin. still learning

I joined LinkedIn 16 years ago.
At the time, it was mostly about CVs and corporate connections.
But over the years, it’s become something much more personal:
A place to think out loud.
To connect with people I never would have met otherwise.
To share ideas I wasn’t sure anyone else was thinking about.
And to keep asking better questions.

So first—thank you to the LinkedIn team for continuing to invest in this space and its community.

As I mark this small milestone, I wanted to share a couple of thoughts and questions:

👉1. Top Voices — what’s next?
As the platform thinks about its most active voices, how do we go beyond visibility?
How do we help each other show up in more purpose-led ways?

For example, during the Myanmar earthquake I wanted to quickly rally a community for support—and wasn’t sure how. Could this space do more to help us organise around moments that matter?

👉2. 30,000 connections — but how do we shape them?
For those of us reaching the platform’s connection limit:
Are there plans to help us manage, refresh and realign our networks?
I want to keep growing—not in numbers, but in relevance and impact.

What tools could help us focus less on reach, more on relationships?

I’ll keep showing up, sharing what I can, learning as I go.
And I’m grateful to those who’ve read, responded, challenged or quietly nodded along over the years.

Here’s to the next chapter—and better questions.
